Stridon (ストリィド) is one of the crew members of the NefeloMakion. He is Playable Character 7 (PC7) in the Hajimari no Kioku game. He is 25 years old during the events of the game. His crew position is listed as Space Navigation Officer (宇宙航海士担当) and his role is listed as Navigation Officer.

His short profile states that he has a big heart. He is everyone's big brother. Stridon is able to “read the flow” of things. He is tolerant and able to forgive anything. He fights with a trident.[1]

Stridon is from the Other Dimension, but has a counterpart STAR AnimaL in this dimension. As stated in the events of Twin Crew Stars, the animal Stridon in this dimension has the memories and abilities of the humanoid Stridon from the other dimension due to a special inter-dimensional communication mechanism.

Introduction

In his detailed introduction[2], the following are stated about Stridon:

  • Has a power that can see various types of “flow.” In space, much like the ocean, there are currents which flow in certain directions. Riding the current / flow can drastically change the time it takes to reach a destination.
  • Astel recognized Stridon's generous personality and navigation abilities. Due to these factors, Astel invited Stridon to join the crew.
  • Due to his personality, he doesn't make any enemies.
  • He has a different sense of evil and justice from normal human species. He believes everything is part of a larger “flow” called fate. While he was on Neptune, he was not strongly moved even by the life and death of living things.
  • Has a kind heart.

Basic Information

Stridon in this dimension comes in the form of a dark blue shark-like animal. He was retrieved from the planet Neptune. He likes Blueberry. His hobby is surfing. His hex color code is #2B2284. He was found on Neptune by Phruity, Merck, and Juke. He is the seventh and currently the last of the NefeloMakion crew counterpart animals to join Astel in this dimension.

Personality

Like his counterpart from the Other Dimension, Stridon is a friendly big-brother type. He is the one Astel assigned to protect the non-combatants of their crew, his abilities more focused on defense rather than offense. When performing in 3D, he's quite playful. He stretches and happily turns around to show everyone his tail and his obi that he tied himself[4].

Recruitment

On November 10, 2022, Apolleon mentions that there “isn't much time left.” As such, the STAR AnimaLs already on earth end up splitting into two groups to continue investigating. One group goes to Uranus and the other group goes to Neptune[5]. Phruity, Merck, and Juke head to Neptune in order to retrieve Stridon. Apolleon, Pollneu, and Arecos, on the other hand, head to Uranus to retrieve Uratty[6].

Stridon arrives on December 1, 2022, mentioning that he was told he'd be the last one in this world[7]. He is introduced during a singing and announcement stream that is later hijacked by [The One Who Rules The Universe] Astel while Astel is experiencing connection problems and issues with his streaming software. Neither Stridon nor Astel bring this up afterwards, the latter simply expressing relief that he was able to fix his connection issues and return to the stream. The song when Stridon appears is 世界の秘密 (Sekai no Himitsu) / Vaundy[8].

Twin Crew Stars to Present

The day before Twin Crew Stars, a teaser video describes Astel and the STAR AnimaLs as “a certain team, striving and striving for a change in their destiny.”[9]

During the events of Twin Crew Stars on December 7, 2022, Stridon goes with the other STAR AnimaLs and Astel to confront [The One Who Rules The Universe] Astel. Their departure is shown both in the Namae wo Yobu yo cover and in Twin Crew Stars itself.

In a flashback, it is shown that Astel assigned Stridon to protect Knoll who isn't a regular combatant. Stridon sits beside Juke in the space train as they travel to the battlefield. Later on, in the scene wherein Apolleon is downed by the enemy, he can be seen beside Uratty and Knoll.

After their victory, his 3D is revealed during the song ひとりじゃない (Hitori Janai) / DEEN. His partner in this reveal is Knoll. After the song, he is shown stretching and having fun, gamely turning around to show viewers the obi he tied by himself.

Currently, he resides in Astel's house[10].

  • 名前を呼ぶよ (Namae wo Yobu yo) - Stridon appears in the room with a couch. He is with Uratty and Knoll in the animals-only scenes. In group scenes, his position varies. This song cover is when they depart for the battle in Twin Crew Stars.
  • Twin Crew Stars - Stridon participates in the planning session with Astel and is assigned to protect Knoll. He fights alongside the STAR AnimaLs, confronting the army of [The One Who Rules The Universe] Astel. During the song performance section after their victory, he appears with Knoll for the performance of ひとりじゃない (Hitori Janai) / DEEN.

Trivia

Stridon in the Last Supper
  • Stridon's difficulty level in the Hajimari no Kioku game is “Hard Hard.” He shares this difficulty level with Knoll and Phruity, only being surpassed in difficulty by Juke and Haruto[11].
  • Stridon's crew title / emblem pin is located near his shoulder area. It resembles a shark, akin to his animal counterpart[12].
  • In both animal and humanoid form, the crew addresses Astel in the same way. For Stridon, he calls Astel as “Astel” directly[13][14].
  • The singing and announcement stream[15] that Astel was doing when animal Stridon was introduced had the following setlist. All three songs were also performed during Hope of Universe:
    • 僕は今日も (Boku wa Kyou mo) / Vaundy
    • 世界の秘密 (Sekai no Himitsu) / Vaundy
    • 裸の勇者 (Hadaka no Yuusha) / Vaundy
  • Animal Stridon joined the Last Supper image on December 1, 2022. He was the eight animal in the image and currently the last to be added to it. He has blueberries and persimmons as his fruits in front of him, and a blueberry cheesecake as his main meal[16].
  • Stridon's stamp in Astel's Membership is “IKZ!!”[17], which stands for Ikuzo (行くぞ) or “Let's go!”
